HALLOWEEN
OFFICE PARTY
Holding a Halloween office party
has become as traditional as a Christmas party. It’s a chance to celebrate
the spookiest time of the year with your co-workers
and relieve some of the workplace pressure.
Planning a Halloween office party is similar to,
but not quite the same as a Halloween party held in your home. Your
organizational skills will be tested and your
professional reputation will depend on it being
successful.
Unless you are the owner of the business, the first thing you must do is get
permission to hold a Halloween office party, and the first questions your boss
will probably ask are, will it disrupt the normal course business, exactly what will
the party entail and how much will it cost.
If you are the owner, you will want to enlist from an employee with good
organizational skills.
It really helps if you have a basic plan and budget for the party
written out that you can present to your boss as part of your Halloween office party sales pitch. Be
realistic about what it will cost and then add at twenty percent more if you
think you need too.
This should be done at least a month before Halloween.
Once you receive
permission, you can proceed with the detailed planning. This site contains suggestions,
planning tips and ideas for organizing a small to medium size Halloween office party.
